About the ADRF Research Grant

The ADRF Research Grant program is designed for researchers, academics and student researchers from Australian universities and research institutes who are working with CDEs and people with diabetes on research projects that aim to improve diabetes care, management and education.

Grants of up to $60,000 are being offered for a maximum 12 month period.

The ADRF Council oversee the review of the applications, conducted independently by the ADRF Reviewers.

Research priorities

This year, consideration will be given to the best quality applications that address either of the following priorities:

  1. Technology use in diabetes education and management
  2. Self-management and medication management
  3. Quality use of glucose-lowering medicines
  4. Impact of models of care on diabetes outcomes and their effectiveness
  5. Non-medical prescribing
  6. Impact of CDEs in diabetes care and education

EOIs must address all of the following:

  • How the proposal will result in improved diabetes education and care in Australia
